My father was a master carpenter. Although much of my childhood was marked by pain and brokenness, one lesson he taught me has stayed with me… in the right hands, and with the right oil, almost anything can be restored.
Years later, that lesson pointed me to an even greater promise. Jesus is the Master Carpenter. He doesn’t simply repair what is broken… He redeems it. The Hebrew suggests it translates as “better than new.” He takes ashes and gives beauty, suffering and gives the oil of joy. (Isaiah 61:3)
The Carpenter’s Daughters was born from that promise. Every prayer filled bottle is a reminder that no life, no story, and no heart is beyond the restoring nail-scarred hands of Jesus.
