“Now we know faith is the evidence of things hoped for, the substance of things not seen.”
Hebrews 11:1
Dear friend,
Did you know that when you see nothing that you are actually better positioned for a miracle than ANYONE else?!
It’s true. And usually it isn’t when everything is falling apart that people come to me and say they are struggling to believe. It is actually when NOTHING seems to be happening. Good or bad.
Spiritual warfare often reminds us we are on the right path!
Good things make me feel we are stepping into confirmation!
But oh, how difficult it is for people to see NOTHING!
Remember when Jesus said, “Blessed are those who have not seen and yet believe?” I actually sometimes wonder if I would have seen Jesus in His days walking the earth if I would have been terrified or faithful. He was raising the dead! Healing the blind! Causing a stir! Sometimes I think it’s easier for me because I saw NONE of that!
But what I did see was a God who showed up when my father went away to prison for his crimes. A God who saved me from abuse in my old marriage. A God who gave me 5 beautiful children for my sorrow. A God who handed me congregations to love. A God who gave me a gift with words, beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for my sorrows.
When I see warfare I think, “Oh, look! I made the devil mad!”
When I see good things I think, “Oh, look! Heaven is confirming my path!”
I also think God is just so good.
But when I see NOTHING? I too go… um? God?
I wanted to remind you this is just a pit stop feeling. You won’t feel this way forever. Seeing NOTHING isn’t a dead end. Especially if God led you here. If God guided your steps. If God made the way. Because HE does NOT fail.
So if you are seeing NOTHING. Rest assured, you are positioned. Positioned for a miracle. And while it may be impossible with man…
ALL is possible with our God.
In Him,
Pastor Brooke
PS: Need to talk this week? I left code July4 up for you to continue to use to make summer visits a little easier this week. That code is a $35 hour and I’d love to hear about your goals or struggles and start making a plan to climb up out of that sucker. And INTO your faith. INTO your joy and INTO your purpose.
