The God of Suddenly

“Suddenly a sound like a mighty rushing wind…”

Acts 2:2

Defeat is not your portion.

Depression is not your future.

And the enemy doesn’t get to decide who you become

or how hard God rocks with you.

When he throws everything in his arsenal at you

Show him the empty tomb.

And remind him that he won’t dance on your grave either.

You serve a God who is at your defense,

In charge of your heart and in love with your spirit.

This fleeting moment is not forever.

But the purpose you are meant to fulfill

Will make ripples forever

And one day your story will be a GPS

For those who can’t find their way out.

Only the Lord knows what’s next for you.

Even your worst thoughts about yourself…

Don’t count.

It will be what He says it will be.

So say to yourself “I am a child of the most High King…

Who will not leave me defeated or downtrodden.”

You may be in the waiting room now…

But when the King enters the room…

It’s going to turn around.

And you’ll know that you know

He is the God of victory.

And even more exciting…

The God of suddenly.
